Call for help during Winterfest February 14th & 15th, 2009!

Would you like to help bring the M to Winterfest again? In order to do so, we need volunteers to represent Mpower at Winterfest 09 @ the Capitol Square.

We need volunteers to staff the informational booth that will accompany the 9 ft M and supervise the making of snow M's! All you need is a few hours and a warm pair of boots - you will also have front row seats for all the action downtown!

If you are interested or would like more information about this opportunity to volunteer in the community, please email info@mpoweringmadison.com.

Madison Lights Out is officially launched!

You can update your Mpower pledge to take part in MLO by using the email address you pledged with.

As a reminder, we're running an awareness/encouragement campaign, asking Madison residents to turn off their non-essential lights/electronic equipment this December, and we'll do it again in July. This season, we're doing it through signage (yard signs, store signs, window signs, etc....).

In December, the MLO effort is about awareness. Next Season (July) our team is looking to define measurable impact, so this effort can be replicated to other communities. All the more important that you participate! Can you imagine if Madison was the starting point for this mass behavioral change movement?!

Please do, buy a yard sign (which is non-profit) to publicize the effort. You can do this at: East Side: (Willy Street Coop or Ground Zero Coffee), or on the West side: (Capitol Street Market and Cargo Coffee). If you don't have a yard, please go to our website and download a window or car sign.
