Find answers to your energy efficiency questions:

"Ask Focus On Energy"

Focus on Energy is excited to announce that on April 20, 2009, they launched a new interactive Web site titled 'Ask Focus on Energy' (www.askfocusonenergy.com). The innovative Web site is powered by our dedicated team of energy efficiency and renewable energy experts, and offers visitors an easy and accessible way to get answers to their energy questions.

How the Web site Works:

When you visit askfocusonenergy.com you'll have the opportunity to submit a question. Once the question is submitted, if it is similar to a question already on the site, the answer will immediately appear. If the question is unique from any on the Web site, it will be sent to the Focus on Energy experts for review. If the question is selected, it will be answered by one of our experts and posted on the Web site. Don't have a question in mind? Search other questions that may relate to your area of interest.

Madison Marathon runs greener this year

More than 6,000 runners will descend upon Madison this weekend for the Madison Marathon. Every year the staff implements new systems to lessen any negative environmental impact of the Madison Marathon on our beautiful city. The Madison Marathon is recognized as a "Runner's World" GreenTeam race and we're FitPlanet.com approved. This year’s new efforts include offering biodegradable race bags to all participants, moving the start and finish line to the same location to avoid shuttling runners and spectators in buses, and teaming with Mpowering Madison to help runners take the pledge to run green. Make sure you take your picture with the 9 ft green M at the finish line! To view the full list of Madison Marathon green efforts, visit www.madisonmarathon.com. And remember to cheer on all of the Madison Marathon runners on race day, Sunday, May 24, 2009!
